The Scout Movement reached Philippine shores in 1910 when the first, but alas now unknown, Scouters sought to afford young people the opportunities of learning with adventure in an outdoor setting using the Patrol and group method.

In 1923 the Scout Method received formal organization in the Philippines with the founding of the Philippine Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Since then Scouting has grown exponentially in these islands.

Scouting is here for everyone. We invite Scouts of all races, nationalities, and religions to keep posted as we bring out information on Philippine Scouting history, heraldry, activities, and all kinds of other subjects. By training themselves both in competition and with cooperation, young people can develop in themselves the ability and discipline to handle the responsibilities that modern life requires.

Parents, coaches, professionals, and workers in various sectors of society and industry can visit this site and learn more how one can contribute to the goals of character-building and citizenship training through Scouting. In Scouting there is always some way in which one can contribute to youth development, fulfillment, and happiness. Teachers are always welcome to use ideas from this site for the benefit of young people. And the Scout organization will always open its arms to all who can visualize and act on allowing national growth to progress through youth education, formation and preparation.
