The year 2009 promises to be a colorful and busy year for the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. Four giant activities are lined up to render color to the BSP for the year. On January, we will go to Camiguin for the much awaited 4th National Scout Venture, in April to Isabela for the 6th National Rover Moot, in May we will go to Zamboanga City for the 2nd Philippine Boarder Jamboree and in December, all roads lead to Mount Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna for the 26th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree, the banner activity for the year. |

The BSP has continuously been conducting activities which prove the effectiveness of the program of the Movement. For adult leaders, we shall conduct our affairs like the 53rd Annual National Council Meeting in May and the 50th Annual National Scout Executives Conference in November.
All these activities are being carried out with the participation and support of volunteers and professional staff, who work hand in hand to ensure that the BSP is going in right direction.
Many of our young members are growing every day, let us admit that most of them must have to leave Scouting a year from now, or come graduation day, where they will have to pursue higher studies in preparation for their career. As they reach college, some of them would have to hang their handkerchief and leave Scouting behind, carrying with them memories of the past where they happily marched and camped with their brothers in the spirit of play, brotherhood and learning.
I appeal to one and all to continue serving the Movement and this country in whatever capacity we can.
Again, I greet you all a happy new year and many fulfilled and blessed years ahead.
Mabuhay! |
