Outstanding Chairmen
The Boy Scouts of the Philippines released the list
of the winners of the search for the 2007 Outstanding Local Council Chairmen.
The honorees were selected from among the candidates from the 107 local chapter of the movement.
The winners were feted during the annual national council meeting held in Leyte.

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines and Coca-Cola Export Corp. signed a memorandum of agreement for the sponsorship of the Search for Outstanding Boy Scouts, sponsorship of a number of Scouts and Scouters to World Jamboree in UK and a joint environment project dubbed “Green is Go! Go for the Real Thing!”

BSP names 10 outstanding Boy Scouts
CEBU CITY – The Boy Scouts of the Philippines announced yesterday the winners of the search for 10 Outstanding Boy Scouts of the Philippines.
The winners were chosen from the 25 national finalists representing the 10 Scouting regions in the country and were selected from among hundreds of candidates from 107 local councils nationwide.
Now on its 17th year, the search began at the local council level, then the regional level up to the national level.
The last leg of the competition was the interview held in Eastern Visayas Region office of the BSP located at the Capitol Hills Scout Camp in Cebu City.

Scout Venture
The Cebu Council of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines will host the 3rd national Scout Venture on Oct. 22 to 28 at Capitol hills, Scout Camp, Cebu City. BSP Secretary General J. Rizal C. Pangilinan said the event is a gathering of senior Scouts, the fourth Scouting program of the BSP.

New age requirement for membership approved by executive board
The BSP executive board in its meeting recently, approved the new age requirement for membership: KID Scouting (4-5 years old Kinder 1 and 2); KAB (6-9, Grade 1-3); Boy Scout (10-12, Grade 4-6); Senior Scout (13-17, High School); Rover (16-24).

Binay gets award from Thai King
Boy Scouts of the Philippines National President and Makati Mayor Jejomar C. Binay received recently the First Class of Boy Scouts Citation Medal from the National Scout Organization of Thailand.
The award was conferred by Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn representing King Rama IX, also the Chief Scout of Thailand.
